B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or PETA is to animal cruelty.

Certified B Corporations are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability, and aspire to use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems.

Pending B Corps have committed to social and environmental goals but are too young to yet meet the criteria required of Certified B Corporations.

Today, there is a growing community of more than 2,100 Certified B Corps from 50 countries and over 130 industries leading a growing global movement of people using business as a force for good.
